What changed

Minisend now accepts USDC and USDT on Solana. They land in the same balance as everything else, settle to the same four countries, and earn the same yield while they sit.

That last part is the point. Solana is not a separate compartment in the app. A deposit from Solana and a deposit from Arbitrum become the same balance.

Why there is a second address

Everywhere else, Minisend issues one 0x address that works across 19 EVM chains for USDC and 15 for USDT. That works because EVM chains share an address format, which is what made killing the per-chain deposit address possible.

Solana does not share that format. Its addresses are base58 rather than hexadecimal, and there is no way to express a 0x address on Solana or the reverse. So Solana gets its own address, issued alongside the 0x one, and shown in the same deposit screen.

Two addresses, one balance. That is the whole model:

What you holdWhere you send it
USDC on any of 19 EVM chainsYour 0x address
USDT on any of 15 EVM chainsYour 0x address
USDC or USDT on SolanaYour Solana address

This is the one mistake that does not recover. Sending Solana assets to your 0x address, or EVM assets to your Solana address, is not a support ticket with a happy ending. Copy the address from the row that matches the chain you are sending on.

How fast it is

A Solana deposit routes through the cross-chain swap layer and arrives as spendable USDC on Base in 30 to 50 seconds. That is the same path USDT takes, and the same timing.

For context, across the deposit side:

DepositTime to spendable USDC
USDC on BaseSettlement starts immediately
USDC from another EVM chainA few minutes
USDT, any supported chain30-50 seconds
USDC or USDT on Solana30-50 seconds

If a swap fails to fill, it auto-refunds. Spreads on stablecoin pairs stay tight, so what lands is very close to what was sent.

What happens after it arrives

Exactly what happens to every other deposit, which is the reason this was worth building rather than bolting on a Solana-only flow:

  • It credits to one balance as spendable USDC. Nothing converts to local currency on arrival.
  • It earns 5.7% APY while it sits there, with no staking step and no lock-up.
  • You settle part or all of it to M-Pesa, a Buy Goods till, a Paybill number, mobile money, or a bank account in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, or Uganda.
  • M-Pesa payouts land in about 10 seconds; bank and mobile money transfers take 5 to 30 minutes.

There is no Solana-specific balance, no separate settlement flow, and no chain to remember at payout time.

Why this matters if you get paid across ecosystems

The practical case is not "Solana is fast". It is that people are paid on whatever chain the payer happens to use, and Solana is an increasingly common answer to that question.

Before, holding USDC on Solana meant bridging to an EVM chain before Minisend could do anything with it — the exact step the product exists to remove, reintroduced for one ecosystem. Now the deposit address covers where the money actually is.

That is 27 distinct EVM chains across the two tokens, plus Solana, feeding one balance.

Try it

Open Minisend, tap Deposit, and you will see both addresses with the chains each one covers. Send a small amount first if you want to watch the timing: an order clears from 0.50 USDC, so a live test costs cents.

Frequently asked questions

Does Minisend support Solana?
Yes. USDC and USDT on Solana are both supported. They arrive at a Solana address issued alongside your 0x address, convert to spendable USDC on Base in 30 to 50 seconds, and land in the same balance as every other deposit.
Why do I have two deposit addresses?
Solana does not share the EVM address format: its addresses are base58 rather than hexadecimal, so a 0x string cannot exist on Solana. The 0x address covers 19 EVM chains for USDC and 15 for USDT, and the Solana address covers both tokens on Solana. They feed one balance.
What happens if I send Solana USDC to my 0x address?
It is not recoverable. This is the one deposit mistake that does not have a support resolution, so copy the address from the row matching the chain you are sending on. The deposit screen shows both addresses with the chains each covers.
How long does a Solana deposit take?
30 to 50 seconds to spendable USDC on Base, the same as a USDT deposit. If the swap fails to fill it auto-refunds, and spreads on stablecoin pairs stay tight so what lands is very close to what was sent.
Does a Solana deposit earn yield and settle like any other?
Yes, identically. It credits as spendable USDC into one balance, earns 5.7% APY while idle, and settles in part or in full to M-Pesa, mobile money, or a bank account in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, or Uganda. There is no Solana-specific balance or settlement flow.
