Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information. Your trust is fundamental to everything we build.

Effective: March 25, 2026

1. Overview

Minisend (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the cross-chain stablecoin settlement platform at app.minisend.xyz and the informational website at minisend.xyz. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

By using our Platform, you consent to the practices described in this policy. We recommend reading it in full, but here’s the short version: we collect only what we need, we don’t sell your data, and we protect it with industry-standard security.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Wallet addresses used to interact with the Platform
  • Payout details — M-Pesa phone numbers or bank account information you enter for local currency settlement
  • Communication data — messages you send us via Telegram, email, or other support channels

Information collected automatically:

  • Transaction data — deposit amounts, source chain, token type, conversion rates, and settlement status
  • Device and usage data — browser type, operating system, IP address, pages visited, and timestamps (collected via analytics)
  • Blockchain data — public on-chain transaction records related to your deposits (this data is inherently public)

We do not collect passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or biometric data. We never have access to your wallet’s private keys.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process your stablecoin-to-fiat conversions and deliver settlements to your M-Pesa or bank account
  • Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized transactions, and abuse of the Platform
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal obligations (including anti-money laundering requirements)
  • Improve, maintain, and optimize the Platform
  • Communicate with you about your transactions, service updates, and support requests
  • Analyze aggregate usage patterns to make better product decisions

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers — Trusted third parties that help us process payments, prevent fraud, and operate the Platform (e.g., payment processors, mobile money operators, banking partners)
  • Legal compliance — When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Safety and security — To protect against fraud, abuse, or threats to user safety or platform integrity
  • Business transfers — In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) and Content Security Policy headers
  • Real-time transaction monitoring across all supported blockchain networks
  • Restricted access controls for internal systems

No system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own wallet and devices.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Transaction records may be retained for up to seven (7) years to satisfy regulatory requirements.

When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it. Public blockchain data (transaction hashes, wallet addresses) is permanent and cannot be deleted by us or anyone else.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Portability — Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — Object to certain types of processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the channels listed below. We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request.

8. Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. This service may set cookies and collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, session duration, and referral source.

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Platform integrates with third-party services to function, including blockchain networks (Base, Lisk, Polygon, Celo), mobile money operators (M-Pesa), banking partners, and analytics providers.

These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

10. Children’s Privacy

Minisend is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

We take appropriate safeguards to ensure that transferred data receives adequate protection consistent with applicable laws.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date at the top and may notify you through the Platform. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
